Hi, I’m Chanel.

As a little girl, I grew up listening to my grandmother tell stories – often placing her own unique spin on Alibaba and the 40 thieves or Samson & Goliath.

You see, not much happened in our little leeward village in the Caribbean, so she had to get creative to keep us entertained and coming back for more. Even then I knew that I wanted to be like her. I wanted to be a storyteller. Fast forward 20+ years, and here I am telling my own stories – many about the unique childhood I was lucky enough to experience.

I began my storytelling career in publishing as a copy editor, sifting through the ‘slush piles’ hoping to help unknown artists share their stories with the masses. Today, I head the corporate marketing team of one of North America’s fastest growing technology companies, and my job is help tell its story. Help it stand out!

My goal with this blog is to connect with other storytellers, share my passion for writing stories, and – I hope – help motivate you. I’ll combine my marketing and publishing experience, and share any tips, tools, and tricks that I find helpful.
